Mary Poppins wants her clothes back

Okay, so not posting too much about toys on this blog is not going to happen because look what arrived the other day - my Pullip Henri! Kuya Taniel, bringer of goodies (aka the mailman), handed me my package claim slip and I was out the door and driving to the post office in a snap. But ripping the box open had to wait because I still had to make a trip to the grocery store to buy ingredients for a magical green health juice type experiment. Very anticlimactic.

Back at home, I spent some moments staring at her while still in her box. She's just so precious, I was debating whether to unbox her or not.

I love her old world style even though she looks like she rummaged through Mary Poppins's closet. But I wish she could have left the shoes alone because they are hi-de-ous!

What really drew me to her, though, is her face-up. Pretty, right?

Gyu Gyu Pets, Teddy and the great outdoors

I spent this afternoon taking pictures of some of my favorite Rement stuff.

I was originally thinking of having a scene where Teddy is giving cooking lessons to some Lala dolls. In the end I decided not to put in any Lalas and instead added a super cute hamster from the Gyu Gyu Pets set. Those small critters are so cute. I think I'm going to have to troop to the Toy Kingdom at Greenhills to get some more!!

Shooting pictures of tiny objects so close to the ground isn't so easy. I don't particularly like sitting on grass and soil. And next time, I should remind myself to bring some bug repellent lotion. I love the final picture though. Check it out at TinyToy.

2012

2012 is here! I'm excited! May this be a good year for everyone. I hope all plans will get executed smoothly. And I'm excited about a new addition to my girls - she's arriving this January. In the meantime, here are some Lalas enjoying the New Year fireworks.

Back to beading

This blog is being overrun by toys pretty quickly, I know. So I've set up TinyToy, a Tumblr blog where I'll be posting my toy pics.

I was able to work on a few late Christmas gifts this week - a necklace for my cousin and a stretch bracelet for my neice.

I love the charm on the stretch bracelet. You can place a SS09 Swarovski flatback on one side, and on the other side it says "Play". Perfect for little girls. Too bad Hopey is skinnier than I anticipated and the bracelet is a bit big for her. Well, at least she'll still grow into it.

Christmas!!!

Last minute activities

Been pretty busy this Christmas season despite being out of work. With what you ask? Mall-hopping and bazaar combing, meeting and greeting, mini-toy shopping. Not that I have any presents left to buy. I just want to get into the Christmas frenzy.

I spent last night making a tiny Christmas tree and a garland of sparkly stars for a Lalaloopsy Christmas photo. I used strung 4mm czech rounds as decor for the tree - quick and easy!

Minis on my messy desk

My desk is a mess - all the time. Now it has a few more inhabitants: Mini Lalaloopsies! I can't help it, they're just too cute! And they put my Sylvanian Families furniture to good use too. I tell you, Sylvanian Families + Mini Lalaloopsies = addiction to rival my nail polish purchasing sickness. Not a good idea. Not good at all.
